Yad Vashem: Commemorating and remembering

On the area of the Jewish memorial in Yad Vashem commemorative plaques are put up for the Jewish municipalities all over the world which became victims of the Holocaust between 1933 and 1945. The whole arrangement is sorted by countries and regions.

"This memorial reminds of the Jewish municipalities who have been destroyed from Germany and his allies, and of the few who have survived the suffering in the shadow of the Holocaust."
